MISSION STATEMENT/PURPOSE FOR N96TA 01/22/2004
The purpose of buying N96TA was two fold.
First: to spend roughly the same amount of money in initial purchase price, and later the upkeep for the aircraft as we would spend for a new moderate sized SUV, which would have been purchased for the same equivalent reason, namely to have a reliable road vehicle for traveling to see the grand kids, and children in the northern parts of this state, as well as the State of Georgia. Our present vehicles would not stand the pounding, and in fact the delay of the airworthiness inspection now is being caused by the blazer transmission needing overhaul. We succeeded in buying the aircraft 80% complete for below the SUV final price and then spent the difference in equipment upgrades in order to use the aircraft in all airspaces, as well as modifications to adjust it to fit Beverly & I.
Secondly: To provide Beverly & I with a means for enjoying flying together economically, and to insure that I would be able to stay current with my flying skills, at least in a single engine way, while the aviation industry recovered from the economic conditions prevalent at the time of this writing. We desired to own a moderately powered, economical fast cruise aircraft capable of carrying the two of us to all the places that we have desired to fly to, except maybe over seas.
I believe that we have achieved that mission statement/goal(s). More over I hope that our plane is an inspiration to other builders to continue, as well as influence future builders to begin/finish, that might not otherwise.
